Dear readers,
will genetic engineering in food remain recognisable to consumers? The debate is gaining momentum. In a less than transparent "targeted" survey of selected stakeholders, it became clear that the EU Commission already has quite specific plans for deregulation. There was and still is a lot of criticism for this, and for good reason.
It is important that the "Ohne Gentechnik" [Non GMO] sector continues to clearly communicate to the political decision-makers in Brussels and Berlin at every opportunity that GMO deregulation would destroy consumer confidence and cause massive economic damage.
We are also keeping up, because this is part of the VLOG mission. What else is part of it, can be found in the new VLOG mission statement, which we have now developed for the first time.
Enjoy reading! Your VLOG team
