Sanctions Procedure
For dealing with breaches of the regulations / specifications of the Verband Lebensmittel ohne Gentechnik e.V., the sanctions procedure applies. This procedure enables a standardised and transparent process for sanctioning licensees, laboratories, certification bodies and auditors.

In the event of breaches of agreement, the Sanctions Committee may be convened by the VLOG office under certain circumstances as part of the sanctions procedure. The Sanctions Committee decides on the existence and severity of a breach and is appointed by VLOG as a neutral body. The members of the Sanctions Committee consist of selected representatives of the VLOG user groups involved and a lawyer appointed by the office.
The VLOG office will select the Sanctions Committee’s members from a pool of candidates based on their expertise, independence, and availability with respect to the breach to be addressed. There is a substitution rule in case the Chair is unable to attend.
