Change on the Board of VLOG

"I am delighted to support the VLOG Board with immediate effect in its commitment to the production and labelling of GMO-free foods. As a pioneer in the expansion of the 'Ohne Gentechnik' (Non-GMO) range, Rewe Group will represent food retailing on the VLOG Board with a clear position," explains Juliane Falzmann, PhD, Head of Quality Management at Rewe Group.
The other board members Barbara Fiedler (Goldsteig Cheese Dairies), Bernhard Stoll (Raiffeisen Kraftfutterwerk Kehl), Michael Südbeck, DVM (PHW Group) and Christoph Zimmer (Bioland Baden-Württemberg) are looking forward to work with Juliane Falzmann. "It is important that the food retail sector has a strong voice at VLOG. Rewe Group is known as a quality-conscious company with a clear position also on new genetic engineering and will continue to represent the interests of consumers with us. Together with Juliane Falzmann, we will tackle current challenges such as the debate on the future regulation of new genetic engineering and ensure that the value and significance of the 'Ohne GenTechnik' seal are preserved - even in stormy weather."
At the same time, VLOG very much regrets the resignation of Karin Voss from the Board for health reasons. She deserves gratitude for her commitment, the work she has done and the processes she has initiated in the association. Ms. Voss was elected to the VLOG Board in 2015 and played a major role in shaping the association in its current form as an established and respected industry association and as a standard setter. In its strongest growth phase, VLOG benefited from her profound experience in association work and especially in the professionalisation of the "Ohne Gentechnik" production and the certification standard. The VLOG Board holds Ms. Voss in high esteem, both on a personal and on a professional level and wishes her all the very best for the future.
