Constructive exchange between VLOG and German Agriculture Minister Alois Rainer

- The German Association for Food without Genetic Engineering (VLOG) met with Federal Agriculture Minister Alois Rainer (CSU) to discuss the future of "Ohne Gentechnik" (Non-GMO) in light of the upcoming EU deregulation for new genetic engineering (NGT).

A key topic was the impact of this re-regulation on the "Ohne Gentechnik" industry and the question of how businesses in the food and retail sectors, as well as VLOG as the seal-issuing association, can adapt to the new regulations in order to continue to offer consumers reliably GMO-free food.

"We would like to express our sincere thanks to Minister Rainer and his staff for the open and constructive exchange, which we are very keen to continue in order to jointly develop practical solutions for the future of the "Ohne Gentechnik" economy," said VLOG Board Member Dr Juliane Falzmann (Rewe Group), who visited Alois Rainer at the Federal Ministry of Agriculture in Berlin together with her fellow Board Member Dr Michael Südbeck (Lohmann & Co. AG / PHW Group) and VLOG Managing Director Alexander Hissting and Sönke Guttenberg (Head of Media and Public Relations at VLOG).
