Group certification agriculture
The VLOG system offers feed companies and farmers the possibility of joining together in a matrix or group certification to reduce the effort of certification and to easily bring many sites into "Ohne Gentechnik" production. Group certification allows multiple sites or farms to be certified together.
Reform group certification agriculture

The project will also be continued in 2021 to further develop the existing system of group certification at the agricultural level. After the kick-off workshop in July 2020 in Fulda (photo), several constructive online meetings of the working group have already taken place, dealing with the following topics, among others:
Here, the WG came to the conclusion that the current distribution of tasks between the system participants group organiser, group member and certification body is useful and established and should be retained in terms of the basic principle. Only two small concretizations of already existing requirements should bring more clarity for all system participants.
VLOG certification of beef is becoming increasingly important for dairy farms and the subsequent production chain. The aim of the reform is to establish a safe, comprehensible and efficient system for the certification of beef on the basis of the existing VLOG group certification for milk production, without causing disproportionate additional effort and costs for the system participants. Some conditions and principles for this have already been decided in the WG, the next step is the elaboration of an implementable system for the VLOG Standard.
Also currently under discussion is the collection of relevant data from group members and its transfer to VLOG. The aim is to prevent possible data protection problems for the system participants certification bodies, group organizers, group members and VLOG.
