General Assembly 2025: VLOG Executive Board re-elected
Dr Juliane Falzmann, Barbara Fiedler, Bernhard Stoll, Dr Michael Südbeck, and Christoph Zimmer stood for re-election and were confirmed by a large majority of VLOG members. The five-member Executive Board is re-elected every three years at the VLOG General Assembly.
A maximum of one Executive Board position may be assigned per sector represented in the association. Dr Juliane Falzmann, Head of Quality Management at the Rewe Group, has been a member of the VLOG Executive Board since 2022 as a representative of the food retail sector. Barbara Fiedler has been a member of the VLOG Executive Board since 2020 as a representative of the dairy industry. She is Head of Quality Management at Goldsteig Käsereien Bayerwald GmbH. Bernhard Stoll, Managing Director of Raiffeisen Kraftfutterwerk Kehl GmbH, has represented the feed industry on the VLOG Executive Board since 2017. Dr Michael Südbeck is Head of Quality Management at Lohmann & Co. AG / PHW Group. He has been on the VLOG Executive Board since 2019 as a representative of the poultry meat industry. Christoph Zimmer has been a member of the Executive Board since VLOG was founded in 2010 and represents the certification companies. He is Managing Director of the Bioland Regional Association in Baden-Württemberg.
On the morning before the General Assembly, the “Ohne Gentechnik” (Non-GMO) conference VLOG .:. Forum 2025 took place. After a welcome address by Dr Monika Mertens from the Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture, and Home Affairs (BMLEH), Dr Kilian Delbrück from the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Climate Protection, Nature Conservation, and Nuclear Safety (BMUKN), Member of the European Parliament Martin Häusling (Greens), Peter Röhrig from the German Organic Food Industry Association (BÖLW), Gunther Weiss from Alnatura, atorney Dr Georg Buchholz (GGSC), and VLOG Managing Director Alexander Hissting provided information and discussed current issues surrounding the ongoing EU negotiations on new genetic engineering (NGT) and its impact on the organic and “Ohne Gentechnik” sector. Journalist Hanna Gersmann moderated the discussion.
